Mr. Chu Tien Long, Co-Founder of 1Office, shares his insights on how businesses need to orient themselves to become a core part of the digital transformation process and to avoid being left behind in the Industry 4.0 revolution.
“Digital transformation” has garnered significant attention from business owners in recent years. Understanding the market situation, 1Office has made breakthrough strides in creating a powerful assistant for effective business management, which is 1Office BPA (Business Process Automation software), to help managers solve all the problems businesses face. Mr. Chu Tien Long shared his insights to clarify this issue at the new product launch event for 1Office BPA.
We know that 1Office’s product is a very supportive tool for remote work. So why did 1Office choose to launch its new product after the pandemic, not during it?
When the COVID pandemic hit, businesses began searching for technology solutions to adapt to the new situation, which is why digital transformation was heavily researched at that time. They prioritized finding the fastest and best tools to solve immediate difficulties within their businesses. For example, software for online meetings or quick task assignment. Business owners weren’t really thinking about specific process standardization.
However, after the pandemic, businesses turned to solving HR issues. Old employees left, and new ones came in, facing many difficulties without a proper handover or specific work instructions from their predecessors. But if businesses know how to standardize processes within their HR system, new employees can simply follow the processes on the software, eliminating handover time and worries about personnel fluctuations.
That’s why the BPA solution was created, and we chose this moment to launch the product to address the pain points that businesses are currently facing.
So, in your opinion, is this solution suitable for all types of businesses, or is it only suitable for some large-scale enterprises?
Currently, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for 90-95% of the market in Vietnam. By nature, these businesses do not yet have standard processes and are very flexible; employees will apply changes immediately if directed by the director or department heads. Furthermore, SMEs in Vietnam will also grow into large enterprises in the future.
That’s why focusing on them is our company’s goal. As for long-established enterprises that already have standard processes, changing them now is very difficult. I’ve also worked with many corporations where the CEO decides to adopt a solution, but the lower levels do not. So those are the barriers when dealing with these enterprises. The challenge here is how to consult, guide, and accompany them.
However, 1Office is suitable for all businesses. We don’t modify the core product; instead, we provide customers with a platform they can customize to their exact needs. Essentially, once a process is established, both small and medium-sized enterprises can operate it.
