Webinar: Gen Z’s Choice: What Are the Trending Careers of the Future?
On March 17, 2022, 1Office and the media company Sol Do organized a webinar titled “Gen Z’s Choice: Which Careers Will Shape Future Trends?”. This was also the first time 1Office organized a webinar aimed at final-year students and recent graduates, contributing to career orientation for young people.
Kicking off the webinar, Mr. Do Ngoc Son, a lecturer at Foreign Trade University and CEO of the media company Sol Do, shared sincere advice with students about the essential skills needed before graduation to impress recruiters. From the perspective of both a lecturer and a CEO, Mr. Do Ngoc Son emphasized that before deciding on a future career, students should understand their strengths and have an accurate self-assessment. After that, it’s crucial to clearly identify the career needs of society to find the right direction for oneself. A suggestion from lecturer and speaker Do Ngoc Son is that following the impact of the Covid pandemic, all professions are trending towards being “digital.” Therefore, it can be affirmed that fields like IT, business, banking, human resources, marketing, etc., all present opportunities for students to develop in the future. This also means that digital transformation—a term no longer new to Gen Z—is becoming increasingly common in daily life and creating many future career opportunities.
To better understand the future opportunities that digital transformation brings for students, Mr. Le Viet Thang, CEO of 1Office—an expert in the field of digital transformation—also shared insights on career opportunities, such as consultants, marketing, human resources, etc. These roles all require specialized knowledge combined with a “digital” element, meaning students must embrace the pace of technology, understand what technology can do, and how it has changed things from the past to the present to join the transformation race. Businesses today are also beginning to digitally transform as they see the opportunities unfolding before them, and therefore, they will need a workforce knowledgeable about digital transformation. This is precisely what society needs and where the Gen Z generation is needed to participate.
Through this webinar, 1Office also introduced the Digital Transformation Warriors training program—a passion project for 1Office in the first half of 2022. This project is aimed at final-year students and recent graduates who need in-depth skills for their future careers. Participants in the course will receive free training on specialized knowledge related to digital transformation, along with professional soft skills such as teamwork, individual work, presentation, and critical thinking. The instructors include renowned market experts such as Mr. Phan Son from HRD Academy; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – HR Director of Canifa, and more. 1Office will also select promising digital transformation consultant candidates from this course to become official employees of 1Office.
