On December 15, 2023, the workshop: “Evaluating Employee Performance – Actions for Optimization” took place with the enthusiastic participation of over 200 CEOs/HRMs/HRDs at 1Academy.

The event was organized by 1Office Joint Stock Company, 1Academy, VHRT Company, and CNS Human Resources Training & Solutions Joint Stock Company. The workshop was a place to impart knowledge, exchange value, and share experiences among HRMs, CEOs, and Managers, helping businesses evaluate employees transparently, easily, and scientifically. The event provided businesses with a comprehensive perspective on employee evaluation through 3 main topics:

  • A systematic employee evaluation system for businesses: Speaker Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Human Resource Management Expert, Director of VHRT Company
  • Practical experience in implementing and building an employee evaluation system: Speaker Ms. Doan Van Anh – HR Training Expert, Corporate Human Resource Management Advisor
  • Implementing standardized employee evaluation on the 1Office management platform: Speaker Mr. Pham Minh Phong – Head of Digital Transformation at 1Office

The first session of the workshop began with a presentation by speaker Nguyen Thanh Phuong – a human resource management expert, Director of VHRT Company, and Master of Business Administration. With her practical experience in human resource management, Ms. Thanh Phuong helped the attendees gain a proper understanding of management, provided a solid knowledge base for employee evaluation, and suggested effective models and tools for performance assessment. According to Ms. Phuong, the three evaluation criteria used by almost every business are: Job completion level, weighted at 70%; competency assessment, weighted at 20%; and attitude and discipline assessment, weighted at 10%.

Following Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong’s presentation, speaker Doan Van Anh – an HR training expert – particularly emphasized the issues encountered during the practical implementation of employee evaluation in businesses. According to Ms. Van Anh, small and medium-sized enterprises that do not yet have an evaluation system can use two assessment methods: 360-degree feedback and statistics based on achieved results. These are two highly effective methods that Ms. Van Anh has successfully applied in many businesses.

Participating in the event as a speaker, Mr. Pham Minh Phong – Head of Digital Transformation at 1Office – shared methods for applying technology to create a transparent, objective, and convenient digital workspace for employee evaluation. With a live interactive demonstration on the 1Office software, speaker Minh Phong’s session sparked a lively discussion among the many CEOs/HRMs attending the event. “You can only measure what you have data for, and you can only evaluate what you can measure. If a business successfully implements a management software, managers will certainly have enough data to measure, making the evaluation process accurate and objective,” the speaker shared.

After the presentations from the three speakers, attendees participated in a Live Consulting session: a 1-on-1 Q&A with the speakers. During this session, many practical questions and business issues were answered by the HR experts, ranging from employee training to enhancing management capabilities. Additionally, five special gifts were presented by the speakers to lucky attendees, helping CEOs/HRMs address challenges in management and employee evaluation.
