The business environment under the impact of Industry 4.0 is a “complex” environment – it follows no rules and creates unpredictable impacts.
According to Professor Fredmund Malik – one of the leading researchers in management in a world of great transformation – the environment in which businesses operate in the 21st century under the impact of Industry 4.0 is a “complex” environment.
Unlike a “complicated” environment, where businesses can still grasp the operating rules and devise appropriate responses, a complex environment does not follow any rules and creates unpredictable impacts. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hai, Dean of the School of Business Administration at VNU-Hanoi, believes that in light of this reality, instead of using traditional management models, businesses need to transition to a new management model. In particular, the new management model will create breakthrough development opportunities for Vietnamese businesses, which have a later starting point compared to businesses in developed economies. According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hai, business managers are now actively applying smart management software. Smart management is considered an inevitable trend in the world and in Vietnam, capable of giving leaders a comprehensive, real-time overview of the business’s operational situation, anytime, anywhere.
An example of smart management is that the criteria for evaluating an employee need to be “right and sufficient.” This means a business cannot just monitor basic indicators like punctuality and the number of working days per month, but will also need multi-dimensional information through groups of indicators: Work attitude and awareness – Standalone Human Resource Management software (HRM), work efficiency – Work management software, business performance – Sales management software (CRM), and integration with corporate culture – Social networks, chat applications.
However, businesses have to pay significantly higher fees to use the world’s smart management software. This is a barrier in Vietnam, where over 90% of businesses are small and medium-sized enterprises with limited operating budgets.
With over 5 years of accompanying the digital transformation journey of more than 2,500 businesses such as Hoa Phat Group, Dai Viet Beer, Media Mart, Phong Vu, TocoToco, Cong Ca Phe, etc., Mr. Le Viet Thang – CEO and Founder of 1Office software, has extensive experience in smart management.
According to him, there are six major management challenges that companies are facing: When newly established, a company faces problems related to work management; As personnel increases, leaders struggle with human resource challenges; Then, as departments and divisions expand, process management problems arise; As the company grows and the customer base increases, so does the number of customer requests, leading to business and financial challenges; Finally, there is the issue of building corporate culture.
“In the current market, it is very difficult to find a solution that can help a business handle about 80% of its problems. This forces businesses to use too many software programs at once, leading to unsynchronized data and high implementation costs. As a result, many businesses that were once a unified entity become unexpectedly fragmented when operating on an online platform, failing to achieve the desired unity,” Mr. Thang commented.
With the desire to provide an online working environment by digitizing the entire enterprise and turning Human Resources, Customers, Business, Communications, etc., into a unified whole, Mr. Le Viet Thang and his team have launched the 1Office CEO version.
According to him, this version can help solve 80% of the operational tasks within a business, from personnel, work, processes, customers, sales, cash flow, to corporate culture…
In terms of cost, the 1Office CEO version provides small and medium-sized enterprises with an all-in-one platform for working – online work management, internal communication, human resource management, and customer management – for an average of nearly 40,000 VND/employee/month (the pricing method can be flexible for each position, depending on the job role). For a business with 20 – 50 employees, the cost is about 1 – 2.5 million VND/month, which is only 1/5 – 1/10 of the cost of famous foreign products with similar features like Bitrix, Microsoft Dynamics 365…
In the near future, 1Office is on a roadmap to “debut” in regional markets with cultural and developmental similarities to Vietnam, such as Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines, etc. To achieve this, 1Office will comprehensively develop and deepen the platform’s features, such as: social marketing, internal networking, automation, smart reporting, building a third-party application marketplace, as well as finalizing new language versions to serve these markets…
