Yody fashion chain continues its strong growth despite the pandemic’s impact

The continuous outbreaks of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam have had negative impacts on Vietnamese businesses today. Consequently, while many businesses have struggled to survive, others have risen strongly. Among them, the Yody fashion chain has continued to experience rapid growth thanks to the effective implementation of a work-from-home – remote work model. 

According to statistics from the Business Registration Management Agency (Ministry of Planning and Investment), in the first 7 months of the year, nearly 80,000 businesses nationwide temporarily suspended their operations or ceased activities pending dissolution procedures. This figure represents an increase of over 25% compared to the same period in 2020. Ho Chi Minh City saw 23,199 businesses withdraw from the market, accounting for 29.1% of the national total. 

The above figures demonstrate the severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Vietnamese businesses today. However, the fashion industry appears to be one of the least affected. This is because the industry has been able to pivot by boosting its online business activities.

In a survey of over 3,000 employees regarding their satisfaction with Yody, 84.6% of members gave a score of 9-10, and 14% gave a score of 7-8 for the working environment at Yody. The FGG factory set a record with 90% of its staff being completely satisfied. 

Mr. Trung Son said that the results above were achieved thanks to the application of digital technology to manage the entire workflow and human resources.

Instead, she just needs to submit a request, and the management approves it on the software.
