RECAP WORKSHOP “SMART BUSINESS MANAGEMENT WITH DATA” 28/03

On the afternoon of March 28, 2024, the workshop “Intelligent Business Management with Data” was held via Zoom Online, attracting the interest and participation of over 150+ CEOs from various companies.

The event was organized by 1Office Joint Stock Company, DRB Vietnam Management Consulting Joint Stock Company, and VDX Digital Transformation Co., Ltd. Here, three speakers presented three main topics to help manufacturing businesses solve difficult problems in data management with the following key content:

• The importance of data and other resources in a business
• Changing the leadership mindset in managing a business with data
• Establishing a mindset for building a Data-Driven culture in the business
• Providing some practical tools for immediate application in data analysis within the business

👉Opening the workshop, Speaker Ha Pham – CEO of 1Office Joint Stock Company, shared on the topic “Management by Data – The Inevitable Trend for Businesses.” Participants were introduced to the DIKW and 5W1H models and observed the progression of Data-Driven practices through various stages. Speaker Ha Pham emphasized that applying technology to digitize the entire enterprise provides strong support for data-driven approaches, analysis, and action, turning it into both an internal and external competitive advantage. According to the speaker, “What we can quantify, we should strive to quantify, because numbers never lie, and working based on data helps us make much more accurate and objective decisions, rather than decisions based on intuition.” With her knowledge, experience, and expertise, Speaker Ha Pham’s presentation was enthusiastically received by the attending guests.

👉Following the first session, Speaker Tran Thai Giang – a consultant on data-driven business management, delivered a very comprehensive and thorough presentation on technology trends in the data field for 2024, specifically highlighting four prominent trends: Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in data analysis; Data Democracy; Cloud-based Data Platforms & Optimize storage with Datalake & Data Lakehouse; and Data Governance & Securities. According to the speaker, there are many applications for data management worldwide, and each application and trend has its own advantages and necessary conditions for effective implementation. Therefore, managers need to understand these applications and their own businesses to build a Data-Driven Organization correctly from the start.

👉 In session 03 of the workshop, guests listened to a very insightful presentation on applying data to make management decisions. Speaker Phan Duc Han – CEO of DRB Vietnam Management Consulting Joint Stock Company, directly analyzed reports in Power BI from various perspectives, including those of a CEO and a manager. By directly analyzing CEO reports to make decisions and analyzing data to support employees’ work, attendees gained a comprehensive overview of how to use report metrics.
