On the morning of August 10, 2022, at the Representative Office of Dong Tam Joint Stock Company (District 6, HCMC), the Kick-off Ceremony for the HR Management System Digital Transformation Project between Dong Tam Group and 1Office took place. The project is considered a transformative step towards building a solid HR management apparatus for Dong Tam Group in the future.
Dong Tam Joint Stock Company is an enterprise with over 50 years of development in the field of manufacturing and trading construction materials and interior decoration products. Dong Tam has continuously affirmed its position both domestically and internationally; currently, the group has 13 subsidiaries and 2,327 employees.
The Board of Directors of Dong Tam Group stated that the nature of a manufacturing enterprise requires a large workforce; therefore, they place great importance on human resource development as well as building the most optimal management system. Dong Tam shared its management motto that for a business to be sustainable, its personnel must be strong.
Kick-off Ceremony for the HR Management System Implementation Project between Dong Tam Group and 1Office
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung – General Director of Dong Tam Group, speaking at the Kick-off Ceremony for the HR Management System digital transformation project, said that the Group recognizes digital transformation as an inevitable trend in today’s rapidly developing technological era. He supports the adoption of new technology from 1Office for Dong Tam.
At the signing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong – Director of Human Resources and Administration, said that Dong Tam had great difficulty finding a digital transformation solution provider that shared the same goals and aspirations as the group. It was noted that the old software provider did not support improvements to meet needs such as: finalizing payroll periods for different companies and employees, integrating data from timekeeping machines, and digitizing reports to resolve tasks more quickly, etc. She also affirmed that this is a great opportunity for both sides to cooperate and learn from each other in the matter of HR management.

The collaboration with 1Office is expected to eliminate manual steps in HR management and optimize business operations. Processes like timekeeping and payroll will be automated, increasing accuracy and convenience for employees, creating unprecedented new experiences for Dong Tam Group’s staff. In addition, Dong Tam also wishes to create a data ecosystem to support more convenient and faster work.
Mr. Le Viet Thang – CEO of 1Office, expressed his understanding of the difficulties faced by the enterprise. With the desire to support Vietnamese businesses in their future digital transformation, Mr. Thang hopes that this project can be a stepping stone for implementations that help other businesses. Therefore, the CEO of 1Office affirmed that he would provide full support and consultation to help Dong Tam successfully apply the solution.

The transformation process of Dong Tam’s HR management system is divided into 2 phases and will last until early 2023. Phase 1 includes the implementation of HR Information Management and Payroll under the HRM module, taking place from October to the end of 2022. Phase 2 involves the implementation of KPI Evaluation, Competency Assessment, and the Workplace module, lasting from the end of 2022 to March 2023.
In her speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong – Director of Human Resources and Administration of Dong Tam Group, expressed her enthusiasm for the project and her desire to implement both phases simultaneously to put the software into use sooner.
